Howard A. Thomas (ca. 1899-1998) was a genealogist who received a B.F.A. degree from Cornell University in 1934; he and his wife, Ida Mae Sincerbeaux Thomas, lived in Long Island City, New York. Genealogical research papers of Howard A. Thomas, mostly relating to his and his wife's family histories, in the form of typed and handwritten research notes, correspondence (much of it with family members), charts, copies of legal documents, certificates, wills, deeds, and vital records. The principal famlies researched are Ambler, Berry, Doyle, Draper, Dungan, Odell, Peet, Sincerbeaux (Sinsabaugh), Thomas, Timpson (Timson), and Vanderburgh, who settled in Connecticut, Maryland, New York, Nova Scotia, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and elsewhere.
